The American West is evolving and families are prioritizing more time in the outdoors, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and nature. To accomodate the growing number of visitors in a way that preserves open spaces and the history of the land, Oxbow is building beautiful guest ranch style properties that are excellent performing investments and conservation focused alternatives to subdividing retiring ranches.
For over 25 years, Oxbow has specialized in the restoration and improvement of land, forests, and rivers. Whether you are a large acreage property owner, land developer or rancher, our experienced team has a reputation for exceeding expectations, maximizing the value of your dollar and transforming acreage properties into beautiful and functional spaces. We accomodate all aspects of the design-build process.

Oxbow brings the beauty of nature into your every day life. We prioritize design that integrates natural materials, scenery, and historic structures with natural land features such as hot springs, ponds, creeks, and native flora to enhance connection to the outdoors while enjoying luxury within your legacy estate or guest ranch.
more about us"The magic of a place exists in the history, the stories, and moments that become your memories."
The great pleasure of our work is to guide you through a storytelling process, to revive the history of the region, and breath life into the story of the land. We emphasize the importance of dramatic light, texture, contour, and the delicate balance between architecture, placement, and respect for natural processes–it's these details that will make your ranch unique and exciting to experience. Our projects are always hopeful of invoking emotion, curiosity, and passion into the experience of daily living for you and your guests. We aspire to be artisans and craftsman instead of contractors and builders. We hope that when you sit back and enjoy the result we created together, that you will feel as we do, like an artisan that contributed to a beautiful process.
more about usEvery project and section of land is unique. Together, we learn what each site has to offer and work to create an expression of your dream as we consider the surrounding scenery, geography, and natural systems that are moving and alive. We sketch ideas, conduct due diligence and adapt your vision into a concept plan, rebirthing a new life and purpose for your residential or guest ranch estate.
The design process is truly exciting as all the visuals come together in presentation format. If we are building new residential homes, we pair your project with one of our partner architects and combine the land use, landscape and architectural designs into a complete master planned development. For reclaimed cabins, teepees, and canvas tents we finalize placement, interior and exterior design styling, and connectivity with the natural spaces and land features.
In the development stage, we have secured the proper permits, ordered materials and scheduled staff and equipment to begin construction. Project timelines are established and the project transitions into the production stage where ideas transform into realty.
The construction team arrives on site and we move forward with implementation of the development plan. Here we provide regular progress updates and keep you informed of all relevant matters. We provide regular site tours and updates via our landowner engagement process to make sure that every aspect of the project is manifesting in alignment with your expectations.
Over the past 30 years, Oxbow has grown from our background in outdoor recreation, conservation, and environmental restoration. Brandon Lewis, the company's founder, has worked all over the world leading environmentally focused projects through extremely challenging conditions. The result is a company that is built upon expanding beautiful spaces and creating happy customers while delivering project results that are on time and on budget. When it comes to transforming land into vibrant and functional living spaces, we can say with confidence that you will not find a company with a more diverse background of experience than Oxbow.
