Celadon Estates is a beautiful development just north of Durango, Colorado in the Animas Valley. The house was designed by International Architect, Jim Rothwell, and built by Mantell-Hecathorn builders who referred us to the client.
Working in steep mountain terrain and wetland environments is Oxbow's specialty. This area of the valley was at extreme risk for wildfire danger, especially given the estates location on the windward site of steep mountain slopes and terrain. The homeowner wanted to increase the health of the delicate forest ecosystem while performing fire mitigation on all 35 acres of the property.
With Oxbow's full range of land services, we provide landscape construction for the entire project and completed fire mitigation of the 35 acre estate. After our work in the forest, the moisture content increased and healthy new green vegetation continued to grow beyond expectation.
